SMP for women
Originally developed as a treatment for men, scalp micropigmentation is now used to treat thousands of women worldwide who are experiencing some kind of ongoing hair loss.
Women lose hair for a variety of reasons. Often it’s a hormonal imbalance which can manifest itself as a long term problem, although there are many shorter term causes too. A recent pregnancy is a common cause, referred to as postpartum hair loss, or hair loss can be traced back to a reaction to certain medications. Alopecia is also common among women, a condition that takes many forms including alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), alopecia totalis (total hair loss on the head) or various types of diffuse thinning, often caused by a condition called telogen effluvium.
Whatever the root cause, scalp micropigmentation for women is a solution that is suitable in many cases as it reduces the contrast in color from the hair to the scalp, creating a denser look and hiding much of the impact of hair loss in our female clients.
